Following these tours a barbecue lunch on the American River at Marshall's Gold Discovery Park was hosted. There was gold panning demonstrations with lessons and individual supervised gold panning on the American River (our miners found gold nuggets). Each person will receive a personal gold pan and vial.

We then went to Hangtown for additional browsing, shopping and antiquing.  We were back to the hotel around 17:00. The rest of the evening was free for visiting some of the many sights in Sacramento.

Today we were free to tour Sacramento. Railroad buffs definitely walked through the California State Railroad Museum.
