Reunion Activity Summary - Part 2
Back to 2005 Part 1
Friday:
We boarded the busses at 09:00
for a tour of Sacramento, Old Sacramento and Sutter's Fort.
This will include a docent tour of the State Capitol
Building, Capital
Park and the Viet Nam War Memorial.
Following these tours
a barbecue lunch on the American River at Marshall's Gold
Discovery Park was hosted. There was gold panning
demonstrations with lessons and individual supervised gold panning
on the American River (our miners found gold nuggets). Each
person will receive a personal gold pan and vial.
We then went to
Hangtown for additional browsing, shopping and antiquing. We
were back to the hotel around 17:00. The rest of the evening
was free for visiting some of the many sights in Sacramento.
Saturday:
Today we were free to
tour Sacramento. Railroad buffs definitely
walked through the California State Railroad Museum.

The business meeting was at 16:30
around the swimming pool.
The annual banquet was held
at the Towe
Auto Museum and started at 18:30 for an evening of dining
and dancing with entertainment provided by the Planet Swing
Band. During the evening there were docent tours
of the Museum available.
Sunday:
End of Reunion, depart hotel.
